La debilidad de todo humano

La gente suele dejarse llevar más por la negatividad que por el optimismo.

Lo veo más habitual en las mujeres que en los hombres. Os pongo en situación con un ejemplo en un entrenamiento:
“Tus Toes To Bar empiezan a tener muy buena pinta” Una chica súper maja con bajo autoestima contestaría:
“Sí pero mi halterofilia me está lastrando y Sandra lo hizo mucho mejor que yo”

Y ¡Bingo! Ahí está. La debilidad de todo humano. La comparación. Si el hecho de comparar nos roba la felicidad entonces nuestra sociedad enferma. Compararse con uno mismo nos trae el progreso, compararnos con los demás nos trae la decepción.

Subí una foto hace algunas semanas. Recordé cuanto deseé entonces tener lo que tengo ahora. Respira hondo e imagínate hace 10 años. Todas las amistades que hiciste, todos los viajes que realizaste y todas las cosas que pensaste que eran imposibles.

Siéntete orgulloso de ti mismo.

Yeah but my weight lifting is really letting me behind and
Sandra did such a better time than me!

And bingo! There it is. The down fall of all humanity.
is Comparison . If comparison is the thief of joy, then our society is being robbed. Comparison with myself brings improvement, comparison with others brings discontent. I posted a photo a few weeks back. Remember when you wanted what you currently have.
Take a deep breath and imagine yourself 10 years ago. All the friendships you have made and all the journeys you have done and things you thought that were imposible.
Be proud of yourself.
